  • Team eligibility (read full criteria here):

    • A team must be comprised of at least two individuals. 

    • At least 50% of formal team members must (1) be enrolled as half-time or full-time student, or (2) be a postdoctoral fellow at a college or university (Student Member) from somewhere in the world. 

NOTE: open to all university students all over the world (Not only MIT Students)

2025/2026 APPLICATION OVERVIEW

Here’s what you expect in the Google form above:

1. Startup Information – Basic information about your project, idea, and progress thus far

2. MIT CEP 2026 IP, Capital, and Revenue Disclosure Forms – Please download a copy of the Disclosure Forms document, fill out, save as a PDF named “[TeamName]_CEP_Disclosure_Forms_2026.pdf” and upload as a PDF into the Google form application

3. Pitch Deck - the content of your Pitch Deck will not be evaluated until the Virtual Round. You will have an opportunity to update and refine your slide deck before the Virtual Round.

4. Optional - two-minute video pitch of your business and team

5. Agree to the Rules and Conditions of Eligibility – To be agreed to electronically at the time of submission

6. Business plan information – Describe the problem statement, core product, and commercialization plan for your startup

7. Team member information – Information about the background, skills, and demographics of members of your team

  • Nov 3rd, 2025 – Applications open

  • Nov 18th, 2025 – Virtual Information session

  • Dec 14th, 2025 – Applications early deadline

  • Jan 11th, 2026 – Applications final deadline

  • Feb 2nd-6th, 2026 – First round (virtual)

  • Feb 26th-27th, 2026 - Asia semi-finals (Singapore)

  • Late-February, 2026 – Mentorship matching

  • Mar 6th-7th, 2026 – US semi-finals (Boston, MA)

  • Mar 12th-13th, 2026 – Europe semi-finals (Munich, Germany)

  • Apr 16th-17th, 2026 – Grand finals (Boston, MA)
